  • Incorporated in 2006 as a not-for-profit organization, Innoventures Canada (I-CAN) improves Canada’s performance in commercializing research by eliminating duplication of resources and bringing together government, industry and R & D providers.
  • I-CAN creates a new national network which overlays provincial and regionally-based organizations, connecting strong existing capabilities in applied research, technology development and commercialization in member organizations. 
  • The I-CAN network provides a point of entry for companies to gain access from anywhere in Canada to the combined expertise, facilities, test labs and product development capabilities of member organizations.
  • The broad spectrum of sectors covered collectively by I-CAN organizations ensures complex issues are addressed in an integrated approach.
  • I-CAN members connect to colleges, universities and other research agencies to fast-track the conversion of Canadian innovative ideas into market-ready products and services. This strengthens the competitiveness of Canadian industries on the world stage.
