The I-CANTM network represents national, provincial and regional members. It eliminates research duplication by combining members’ applied research, technology and commercialization capabilities.
We work together to do better work.
By combining resources, I-CANTM members have undertaken major collaborative projects. A Carbon Algae Recycling System (CARS) was created to convert carbon dioxide from industrial facilities into valuable products using algae in artificial ponds. Another project backed by I-CAN™ used new sensor and processing technology to repurpose wood from trees killed by mountain pine beetles to make quality newsprint paper.
We build on each member’s strengths to contribute in ways not possible separately.
Through I-CANTM, Canada’s RTOs take on regional and national-scale projects and problems that would be too costly and risky for one RTO to tackle alone.
