Jasper Innovation Forum

The inaugural Jasper Innovation Forum was held in June 2008, hosted by I-CAN member organization Alberta Research Council, and attended by several members of the I-CAN Board of Directors.

The forum brought together 65 of the world's top innovators to address critical issues that impact people throughout the world, Canada and Alberta.  

Water, Energy and Food were the themes for discussing innovation at the 2008 Forum.

The intent is to hold the meeting annually to achieve several goals :

• Identify new, innovative approaches to addressing major interrelated issues facing our world;
• Stimulate new insights into the innovation process, as it applies to global issues;
• Creation of a new network of leaders in innovation and subject experts.
