July 30, 2015, Fredericton, NB – An RPC client, Biopolynet, has recently won an open innovation challenge sponsored by Statoil and GE. Biopolynet’s technology was selected from over 100 applicants from 30 countries. The award includes a cash prize and an opportunity to pursue a larger pool of capital to further develop the technology.
Biopolynet, a Fredericton company founded by Mostafa Aghaei, has developed an innovative product that makes fluid more viscous, thus increasing its ability to support a solid. It has application in reducing trucking requirements in onshore oil and gas operations. A demonstration of the technology is available on RPC’s Youtube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaC61IGxTU8
